"We were 'upgraded' to a ground floor room despite having intentionally booked a room with a balcony. Finding the 'upgraded' room dark and overlooked, we asked to swap to our originally booked room which incidently wasnt available that night. The room swap was sorted the next day by the helpful staff but meant for 1/4 of our stay we were in a room we liked considerably less than the one we had booked. Breakfast was decent, however, would benefit from more western options. It seems strange that at such a reasonably priced hotel the laundry service is outrageously expensive- The most expensive we have come across in over 5 months of travelling and double the price of the second most expensive laundry service we used!"

"Fantastic hotel to stay it for exploring Siem Reap and Angkor Wat. The staff were very welcoming and friendly and the breakfast was delicious with a good variety of choices. The room was spacious, relaxing and comfortable and the swimming pool was ideal to cool down in after a hot day of exploring. We wish we stayed longer!"

The hotel even goves recommendations to shopping, beauty treatments etc which was great. The massages were also top tier."

"This charming little boutique hotel exceeded our expectations. It is in a quiet location but within an easy walk of a supermarket and numerous eateries. All the staff are so friendly and helpful, they go above and beyond to make sure your stay is perfect. Breakfast is excellent with a very wide range of food, and they’ll supply a takeaway if you’re out on a tour. The pool has a lot of shade which was ideal for us, and was quiet and very relaxing (as well as being just a few steps from our room)."

"The location is hands down so good. Close to night markets pub street spas food eateries all in walking distance. The staff are so courteous spraying you on the way out so u don’t get mosquito bites. Breakfast was good very adequate. The staff are so wonderful. Very good value."

"The bed is hard to sleep on needs more softer mattress. The water pressure is not very strong in the shower. The lights at the front of the pool view rooms don’t go off till well after midnight and light does come in. There is green mould on the pool and step walls they need to be scrubbed and cleaned. Even though the pool area is lovely. If you want a bar or yo eat at night it is not available at the hotel it did not bother us. Otherwise we loved it!"

"Stairs to our room, quite steep. Some parts of the room need maintenance and pool needs some attention. Many trees and plants, so almost no sun. Pump is shut off too soon."

"Our stay at Phka Chan was lovely. From the moment we checked in, staff made us feel very welcome. They provided helpful suggestions around activities and sightseeing and were attentive anytime we needed help. The room itself was spacious and made for a relaxing space to come back to after a day of sightseeing. The location was central and convenient but out of the immediate craziness of pub street so we were not kept up at night by the noise. We had breakfast every morning at the buffet and the spread was decent with a good mix of hot food, pastries and cereal. Overall our stay was very enjoyable and we would definitely return!"
