As the beautiful Chole bay and marine park are just in front of the lodge it is very easy to take one of the many tours.. You can easily spend 1-2 weeks without being bored as Mafia island has much experiences to offer.. There are a few diving schools in Utende at walking distance. Also a few small Swahili restaurants along the coast. The Basecamp restaurant also served a diverse and tasty menu which changes every day. The staff of Basecamp is amazing - they really make you feel at home and take care of everything you might need. Highly recommended!"
