"The location is the best. Easy access when arriving at Lac Rose. Most activities are located right in front of the hotel (horse/camel riding, quad rental to ride in the sand dunes, etc). The hotel is literally on the lake, with the terrasse and dining area built over the water."

Some items on the menu tasted like they were not fresh. The AC in the room was a bit underperforming and noisy. The lock on the glass door going to the balcony was broken and could not be locked.

"חוויה יוצאת דופן ברמה שלא הכרנו. הכל היה מדהים, כל פרט בחדר, במתחם העצום או בספא היה פשוט מושלם. הנוף מסביב עוצר נשימה! השירות של הצוות היה מושלם - רק דאגו שיהיה לנו טוב ונהיה מרוצים, ליוו וסייעו לנו בכל רגע."

"Great pools, no rush to grab a lounger in the morning, comfy bed, good shower, excellent location right in the middle of The Gap. The crazy golf course was superb! Gardens were large and well kept."

Bar was expensive so no-one really used it. Pure Ocean restaurant was just ok. Apartment was a bit tired in places. Felt it was expensive for what it was but worth paying the extra for pool/garden view.

"כפר הנופש פשוט יפיפה, נמצא בתוך הטבע ומכל פינה נשקף נוף מקסים. אגדה. הקונספט של המקום מהמם - מים טרמליים בבריכות שאליהן יש כניסה בלתי מוגבלת, מסלולי הייקינג מסומנים אליהם ניתן לצאת מתוך המלון, גינות תבלינים. אפשר לשכר אופניים ויש פעילויות נחמדות לילדים ומבוגרים. הצוות נחמד וחייכן, שתמיד היה שמח לעזור ולהסביר. הגענו מאוחר בערב, אחרי שהמסעדה נסגרה - ולמעננו הכינו לנו ארוחה מהירה והיו מאד שירותיים. תודה על זה! כמו כן, ברכב, המקום מאד נגיש לכבישים טובים, אטרקציות וכו׳. מקום נהדר ויפה להרגע בו או לצאת לטיולי כוכב."

ה-wifi החינמי של המקום... הוא בקושי קיים. כמעט ואי אפשר להשתמש בו והוא נופל כל שניה. איכות האוכל והמבחר במסעדת המלון לא רעים, אבל בארוחות ערב והבוקר שאכלנו במקום לא היה בדר״כ מספיק מכל מה שהוצע - ואם הגעת בחלק היותר מאוחר של הארוחה, לא נשאר לך כלום כי לא תמיד חידשו מלאי. באופן כללי הארוחות די יקרות יחסית לתמורה, אבל אם אין לך כוונה לבשל 3 ארוחות ביום זה פתרון סביר בהחלט לאכול במסעדת מלון. בנוסף, החדרים מאד מיושנים. מזרנים וכריות לא נוחים. אין שירותי נקיון חדרים שכלולים במחיר החדר, והחלפת מצעים ומגבות לעיתים רחוקות. זה לא מאד הפריע לנו, כי זה לא מלון של ממש, אלא יותר כפר נופש ובו יח׳ דיור עם מטבחון - אבל יכל מאד לשדרג את החוויה אם היו גם מנקים את החדרים כמו במקומות דומים.

טיפול הספא היה יקר ולא מספק. במכלול חדר האוכל והמסעדות שורר קור מוגזם ולמרות בקשות אורחים רבים לא מטופל. בחדר לא היה ולו שטיח אחד וזה לא נוח. המלון גובה 17 דולר ליום עבור חניה. הואיל והכל יקר במלון ניתן היה לוותר על גביה זו.

"The villa had great privacy, beautiful landscaping, a good layout for our group. It was well-equipped with essentials for cooking/serving. The salt pool was perfect for cooling off after a hike. It was just big enough and always seemed to be at the right temperature. We were delighted by fireflies, tree frogs, bats, local birds, and even a shy ginger cat that wandered past once or twice."

THE ROAD- while we expected a rough access road from reading previous reviews, the construction during our stay detoured us through the banana plantation over an intolerably (for anyone with neck/back problems) rough track that was 4x longer. While the ocean (not a swimming beach) is close enough to hear, there is not much view. It is a peek from one corner of the pool deck, and the upper bedroom. But again, wonderful privacy. Also of note- there are no bug screens on the windows. It was perhaps an assumption on our part with the newer construction, but the mosquitoes did cause some distress, especially for one member of our group. Bring bug spray, After-Bite (anti-itch), and Benadryl if you are prone to reactions.

"The first thing that stands out is the friendly staff - polite and nothing was too much trouble. Probably the best we’ve encountered. We were even given a very late check out of 4pm as our flight was a night time one. The location is beautiful: white sandy beaches and clear blue sea. The food was good and plentiful and the hotel and surroundings were clean and well kept. A very enjoyable stay!"

"The view from our room, any room in fact, looked out over the crashing waves that rolled in from the Indian Ocean. Biggest room weve had in Bali.The staff were ready to look after our every whim. They brought meals in from outside restaurants. Instead of 2 tiny water bottles per day they provided a 20 litre water dispenser. The pool overlooked the black pebbly beach. The surrounding area was not overwhelmed by tourists and the locals were 1980's friendly."

We didn't like leaving.

You use the resort shuttle to get around, but it’s easy and well organised. All-inclusive was genuinely excellent, especially the cocktails. We tried two restaurants and the steak restaurant (The Deck) was a standout. Staff were exceptional: warm, relaxed and genuinely helpful. They also did a thoughtful birthday touch which felt personal. A small but adorable detail: they have cute little sunbeds for kids on the beach."

Not a dislike, but good to know - because it’s built on a hill, you’ll use the resort shuttle frequently, but it’s part of what creates the privacy and views.

"Exceptional staff that turn this hotel into an unforgettable getaway. The whole place truly transports you somewhere else. The staff, coming from all over the Caribbean, were incredibly warm and friendly, making our stay feel genuinely special. The owner was fantastic—always present, talking with us, sharing stories, and really bringing them to life. It has been a delightful trip and a wonderful stay. We travelled with kids and it was the perfect set up. There are no real windows (only blinds and mosquito nets), so when the kids got loud, the neighbors could hear us. However room ventilation is really good, as there is a nice breeze at night. The location is also very convenient, well connected to both the north and the south. The food was surprisingly very good for a 4 night stay, breakfast was delicious. The pool and surroundings are wonderful. Would stay here every time I go back to Dominica."

The beach sand was a bit uncomfortable with lots of rocks and twigs.

"מלון מאד מאד יפה !! עיצוב מלא השראה וטוב טעם , הכל מוקפד עד הפרטים הכי קטנים , קבלת פנים אישית עם מארחת שדואגת לתת את כל המידע הנחוץ , כוס שתייה צוננת בקבלה ליד הבריכה , מול הנוף הנפלא . ארוחת בוקר - מדהימה , אין מילים , מושלמת... מיקום מצויין - חמש דקות הליכה לנמל , וחמש דקות הליכה לעיר ( כורה ) . הנוף למפרץ - נהדר !!"

אז ככה - החדר שלנו היה די קטן... לנו הפריעה המוזיקה שהושמעה בבריכה כל היום , בווליום קצת חזק מידי , ועד שעות הערב המאוחרות... הלו : באנו לפה לנוח , לקבל קצת שקט...

"מלון במיקום מרוחק מהערים הגדולות אבל מוכיח שיש תמורה למחיר. שירות מעל למצופה וחוויה נהדרת למי שמגיע עם ילדים. יש תכנית הפעלה לילדים והצוות נותן הרגשה טובה. יש בריכה פנימית וכמה בריכות שמאוד טובות. ארוחת בוקר מוגשת בשפע!"

"I appreciated Riza who was the main host. She greeted me on my arrival and was very helpful. Breakfast was great!"

"eu amei todo o lugar, a equipe é extraordinária, o ambiente, o café da manhã... tudo muito perfeito ! Me senti acolhida e muito em paz, voltarei mais vezes com toda certeza !!"

Our room was cold, Maintenance came to sort it out but he didn't really know much about the thermostat, said he sorted it and it won't take long to heat uo, but never did, wasn't ideal with a little baby, said baby was asleep by time we realised it wasn't heating up. A small blemish on what was otherwise a really nice stay.

באופן אישי אני ומשפחתי לא אכלנו בכלל במלון מטעמי כשרות (היה ידוע מראש) אך במהלך השהות במלון הבננו שיש אפשרות למנה כשרה רק שנדרש לשלם מעל 20 אירו לסועד מה שהיה נראה לי מוגזם כי שימנו מחיר מלא ולא אכלנו.כלום

Staff were quite formal but very good.

"L'hôtel en cette saison au bord du Lac Inle est magique. Les chambres sont belles et la vue sur le sac est splendide. Le personnel est souriant et très professionnel. Le patron de l'hôtel à l'écoute et très réactif. A recommander"

Le prix reste un peu cher pour le Myanmar dans le contexte politique actuel même si il se comprend. Le confort du lit, matelas, était mauvais. Les coupures d'électricité durant tout un après-midi sont aussi à prendre en compte. Enfin les matelas et les serviettes autour de la piscine semblent une option.

The fact that, despite the heat, rooms were not supplied with drinking water & this had to be ordered from room service at $5 a small bottle. We had just arrived from staying at the Hamilton Princess hotel in Bermuda &, as is normal for luxury hotels of this standard, that had no problem in supplying drinking water to guests free of charge.

Couldn’t find any ramp which could be wheel chair friendly. A ramp could be introduced for ease of moving luggage’s and for elderly people.

Nothing to dislike

"Excellent location, plenty of facilities on the grounds to choose from. Mambo beach was not too crowsded as we feared, and there was no construction in the area. Great customer service too, we appreciated the followup email asking if there is anything we need during our stay and our request was immediately granted."

Staff could have been a bit more friendlier, especially Hemingway/receptionists. Also there was a slight smell of mold in our room. You can pay in EUR, but not worth it since the change you will get back is in USD, hence losing money.

Restaurant waiters are useless, slow, just talking to each other. . Even if you are a guest at hotel they want you to pay for the huts. Hotel guests should get at least a free hour daily. There is no real beach seating for hotel guests to relax.
