"Stunning setting, dynamic staff, interesting fusion of accommodation and working plant nursery. Bathroom feels like you are in the middle of the Amazon. Very refreshing."

Locating the Da Terra at night is not straightforward. It is surrounded by several houses and some distance off the road.

"Kelly and his family are amazing hosts. We feel in family! :-) Kelly is so helpful and talkative, always able to give suggestions and help finding activities to do, contacts, etc. His son, Junior, went with us to many places and activities and we fell him like a younger brother! :-) All the family made us feel welcome and at "home far from home". Installations are simple, but in a nice location, in the countryside, quite and friendly place, not far from Goroka center/easy bus connections but we have everything we needed, even to cook our meals. If you want a simple and family place to stay, with someone who will help you around, this is the place! If once I go back PNG and Goroka, I'll stay here again! :-) Thanks Kelly, Junior and family! Hope to see you again!"

It's normal to have light and water cuts. But it's common in the region/general problem and not from the place.

"A very nice and atmospheric resort. Beautiful surroundings. Lots of parking spaces. There is a gazebo on site where you can barbecue and spend a nice evening. Additionally, a small playground for children. The rooms are very clean. Two toilets and 3 shower cabins per floor."

"Spent some wonderful days here! Especially Yessin, the host is really nice and helpful! There’s a shared kitchen, a terrace, where you can meet other guests and also a living room. Beds are comfy. Would recommend it for backpackers, who want to explore Tatouine and the area around. Yessine can you provide recommendations for both and even organise a tour."

"המארחים הכי נחמדים שהיו לנו, ללא ספק! נסענו מאויוני באוטובוס והגענו להוסטל בסביבות 2:30 לפנות בוקר, כשהמארחים ( שניהם!! ) קיבלו את פנינו. ב-7:30 כבר חיכתה לנו הארוחת בוקר כמו שביקשנו, והבעל הגיעו לשבת איתנו ולחלוק סיפורים. כשהוצאנו את התיקים ובאנו ללכת ברגל למעבר גבול לארגנטינה, הוא שלף שטר של 20 בוב ועצר לנו מונית בלי לחשוב פעמיים. החדר עצמו נהדר וההוסטל חמוד מאוד, אך ללא ספק המארחים הכי טובים שיש!!"

"The hostel was pretty clean. The staff at the reception were friendly, helpful, and patient. They have a lot of knowledge about tourism in Bagan and were always happy to give advice or answer questions. It was also very convenient that they can help you book buses directly at the hostel, and that you can rent e-bikes. Another big plus is the atmosphere. The hostel is social, but not in an overwhelming way. It’s not loud or pushy. There are great opportunities to connect with other travelers if you want, but you can also just sit by the pool and enjoy some quiet time. I think this place is perfect both for people looking for peace and quiet and for those who want to meet others."

There wasn’t much to complain about. The only small improvement I can think of would be adding curtains to the beds, which would give a bit more privacy.

"The views from the house is amazing! The beaches nearby are empty and beautiful, and you got a bit of a local vibe. Food was really good and in general good value for money. Would highly recommend. If you come to surf be aware that there is no good places to rent proper surfboards nearby🏄‍♀️"

"This is a really great hostel. Perfectly located in the historic centre and yet close to restaurants and shops. A warm welcome and helpful staff throughout who all seem to enjoy their roles. They even provided a towel as well as fresh linen for the dormitory beds. Really nice design for the hostel - clean and bright."

I went in a little sceptical, but a close friend strongly recommended this place—and it completely lived up to (and surpassed) my expectations. The property itself is stunning, perfectly located (a walkable radius from most important landmarks), with a rooftop view that’s hard to beat. But what really made the experience was the vibe—there’s such a natural sense of community here that just pulls you in. What I loved and will miss the most were the owners and staff, who are easily some of the warmest, most genuine people I met on this trip. Somehow managed to feel like I’d known them for ages by the time I left. Left with a full heart and would 100% want to stay here again."
