For me, having visited the Singapore tourism highlights on a previous visit, it was not an issue at all, but good to be aware that those highlights take a bit of time to get to. Also good to be aware you are welcomed into an actual home while the owners are living there. It's part of the charm.

"The owner was lovely. The room had a sea view and the balcony was equipped with chairs, table and umbrella to enjoy some sea breeze even on a sunny day. Good parking space by the house, which is located short distance away from the buzz of the city promenade. Price is very reasonable for the high level of comfort, cleanness and friendly attitude. Our stay was so pleasant that after unexpectedly coming back to Ulcinj couple days after our first stay, we chose this accommodation again."

The owner was so welcoming and shared the amazing story of how it was his great-great-grandfather who built it, such a cool piece of history. "The place is a pure perfection, one of the rare occassions where photos don't do the hotel justice. The cabanas are few and set in a beautiful green garden. Our cabana was beautifully decorated, there's a small kitchen with all necessary amnities, a bathroom with hot water, comfy bes and a terrace to relax on while waiting for a rain shower to pass ;) If you're a type of traveler who prefers tranquility, I urge you to stay on Carenero, while visiting Bocas del Toro. It's a short (1min, 1$) drive with a water taxi from Bocas Town and one will come to pick you up as soon as you set your foot on pier. The hotel is only 3min walk from the nearest pier."

It was perfect, by far the nicest place I've ever stayed in during my travels. Has a kind of a honeymoon vibe to it. I wish Booking offered a higher grade for places which exceed all others. 11/10 :)

"This property and the owners, are now our favorite in Martinique. We were welcomed after a long day of travel. The owners kindly left us fruit, coffee, juice and a baguette for breakfast with the local tasty guave jam. So thoughtful. The house provided good size rooms, very comfortable Caribbean chairs, nice large bed, and wonderful outdoor seating with lush greenery, meticulously cared for, outside. To sit and have coffee and watch hummingbirds and others, while we looked at many kinds of tropical flowers was a great experience daily. Everything we wanted and needed in the house was at our fingertips. So much Martinique charm! We highly recommend to anyone visiting Martinique. And a short drive to the beaches, Jardin Balata, and top things to see on the island."

The kitchen was very well stocked, with a microwave, fridge, oven, sink and cleaning supplies and cutlery and spices. Our room was a good size, with charging ports near the bed, clean sheets and covers and enough space for our large luggage. The location was also really good, close to the airport. It's very close to thr Trollkunfinger walk. You can park right beside the house, and there's space for at least three cars."

There were some loud motercycle noises in the night, it did keep us from sleeping a little, so it seems like the neighbourhood can get a bit noisy. The nice bathroom with a standing shower is in the basement, which you need to access from outside or from a trap door in the kitchen. The other bathroom has a tub but doesn't have enough ceiling space to stand. The basement was a little cold and dusty and so bathing there was a little scary!
