"Lovely room called a funco. Amazing view of volcano and design on the ceiling. Breakfast was very different each day and was very tasty. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Organised cars and guide to take us up volcano."

"EcoFunco is absolutely amazing! Lea and Joao are wonderful hosts, present from even before setting foot on the island. They helped us with transportation from and to the airport, they found us a guide to hike the volcano (Joao also is a guide) and gave us tips on things to do and trails to walk while on the island. The breakfast is excellent, abundant and varied. And they arrange it for you no matter what time you want it. The room is spacious and clean. The bed is comfortable. The whole place is peaceful and quiet and the views are simply breathtaking. If we ever go back to Fogo, we will definitely stay with Lea and Joao again!!"

"I was collected at the port, brought to the hotel, and given a warm welcome. Breakfast was great, and my room was clean and comfortable. The hotel owner invited me, as a solo traveller, to join him and his wife, her sister and brother-in-law, and a family friend on a day out that included a walk to Faja d'Agua and lunch with them. I was very touched by such a kind gesture it made for an exceptional stay on Brava island. I appreciated this so much."
