A wood cabin but with all facilities such as fridge, single ring cooker, air conditioning, huge varanda with room for a dining table and chairs plus recliner chairs and a washing rack. Wonderful views of the Duero river. Pick up the train (one kilometre walk away) to Pinhao - 30 minute journey along the edge of the river-for food shopping and long, lazy lunches or to Porto for a day out. Rail fares in Portugal are very cheap and half price if over 65!"

"Our stay on the Yathra Houseboat will always stay in our minds and hearts. This is our second time within 3 years. We had a vacation of our life with all the comfort and pampering by the staff on the boat. The cruise on the river provided rare glimpse of few exotic birds and a large group of monkeys. The narrations by the Manager of the Dedduwa Boat House about those birds were very informative. The Skipper was kind enough to stop along the river bank to watch the birds closely and take photographs. The candle-lit dinner and the night spend on the upper deck was simply magical. The next day my husband even managed catch some fish while cruising. The staff arranged them to be prepared for our lunch and that dish was out of this world. The staff went an extra mile to make us happy. The bedrooms and the facilities on board were above standard. This is the best destination we spend while in Sri Lanka. Keep it up Yathra and we will back again next year."

"ביחס לשאר מקומות הלינה בעיירה, המלון היה מעולה. הצוות במלון היה נהדר. חוף הים מדהים, והמלון ממש על החוף. ארוחת הבוקר הייתה טובה. היה אינטרנט בסיסי. היו מים חמים למקלחת בערב אבל הזרם היה חלש."

זו עיירה ללא תשתיות, ובהתאם אפשרויות הלינה מאוד בסיסיות. המחיר היה מאוד גבוה ביחס לתמורה . אם מחפשים התנתקות מהעיר, ומנוחה, ומוכנים להתפשר על מקום הלינה, חוסר בחשמל ואינטרנט בסיסי אז זה המקום עבורכם.

"It was amazing in all aspects! I travel very often and staying at this place was one of the best experiences. The staff were extremely helpful,professional, and nice. Not only the location was amazing and just 10 minutes walk to metro and old town, but also the whole environment was very cute. They had a common kitchen that you can use to make your food and have it with an amazing view in addition to a common TV room that you can watch movies in a very cosy environment. Also a cute cafeteria that serves breakfast and coffee as well."

Nur ein einziger Punkt wäre verbesserungswürdig. Verdunklungsrollos im Bereich der Schlafbereich würden für etwas längere Nächte sorgen :-)
