This countryside hotel is in Tällberg, 15 minutes’ drive from both Leksand and Rättvik. It offers an indoor and outdoor pool, saunas and views of Lake Siljan. Green Hotel’s history dates back to 1917, and staff still wear regional folk costumes for added charm. Some rooms include traditional Dalarna décor, made famous by Swedish artist Carl Larsson. All rooms provide lake or garden views. Free public area Wi-Fi is available, as are tennis courts and a children’s playground. Cross-country skiing is popular in winter, while top-class downhill skiing is just 2 hours’ drive away, in Sälen. Guests relax on the terrace during summer. "Tällberg is a beautiful area to relax in, and the Green Hotel is excellently located with a scenic view over the lake and town. The lounge with fireplace makes for lovely winter evenings, whether having a night cap or playing games or having conversations with other guests. The restaurant offers great meals, from a large breakfast selection to its set courses. The old world atmosphere of the hotel is its best quality, and the friendly staff only add to this. The sauna and swimming pool also make it an ideal winter escape."
"The breakfast hours are a little too early and too short, with the breakfast service opening at 7am and closing at 9am."

"exceptional staff who we’re really friendly and welcoming the room was modern and comfortable- it was well worth upgrading to a lake view the dining room had a beautiful view and the food was delicious, albeit quite pricey we completed a very good 8km circular walk from the hotel with varied scenery from the lakeside and up through woodland and across ancient meadows the houses in the village are delightful and plenty of traditional builds"
