Hotel Domus

"The hospitality of the staff and how central the hotel was"

"The staff were simply excellent: they responded to all our requests and were very professional."

"It might be helpful to add some variety to your breakfasts."

"I usually prefer smaller, independent hotels to the big institutional “standard issue” ones, and I can recommend the friendly Hotel Domus to anyone who shares this preference. Its location was great, within easy walking of much that you will want to see in central Coimbra, and with a number of restaurant and pasty shops nearby. The bed was comfortable, the expanded continental-type breakfast was very good, and my room television even picked up several English-language channels (not that anyone goes to Coimbra to watch television, but during the mid-December rains I encountered, this came in rather handy at times!). I would gladly stay here again. (Note: this site placed a tiny Spain flag under my name -- not a big deal, but I'm actually from the USA.)"

"[I have no complaints at all -- everything was good.]"

"Location was excellent. The look of the hotel may be deceiving, but it was clean. The staffs were friendly as well."

"You need to climb to 2nd floor for the reception 😬"

"Friendly staff. Location of hotel. Comfy room with patio. Had to ask to change rooms as original room not what I had expected. Moved me to room with patio which was great"

"Breakfast wasn't great for price. No real choice."

"Very friendly Allowed me to park my motorcycle at the hotel Located in the center"

"Location, friendly and helpful staff, cleanliness, comfy quiet room with all the necessary facilities. I'm surprised it's only 1 star, it's better than some of the 3-star hotels I've been to!"

"The hotel has an 'old fashioned' feel to it. Initially this may appear offputting but in reality it is a quiet haven in the midst of the old town. Close to other facilities, staff are friendly and charming. All good."

"Everything was fine for my purposes."
