Thank you for choosing Coromandel Cottages as your accommodation for your stay in Coromandel. We regret to inform you that Coromandel Cottages will be undergoing some major redevelopments over the next twelve months as it transitions into a retirement village. Due to the developments, we are sorry to inform you that this will impact our ability to provide some of the facilities that we normally provide. Going forward, the pool is now closed and the BBQ area will be closed in the near future. There will also be construction work happening on different areas of the motel during this time. Coromandel Cottages will still be operating as a motel during these developments and we are still happy to host anyone that is still wanting to stay. While there is a reception desk on-site, we are transitioning to a self-check-in process. Reception will be available only Monday to Friday, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Once again, we are sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused you.

"If you are looking for an exceptional place to stay on the Coromandel peninsula, this is it. The Lodge is quite large with everything you could need: kitchenette, couch and TV, comfy bed, large bathroom (tub + huge shower), terrace and the a spectacular view of Whitianga! As you would expect, it was very quiet, and the layout is such that, that you can enjoy total privacy. Carol and Warren were very welcoming and we had a nice chat every morning with Warren as he brought us a lovely breakfast. The road up the lodge is fairly steep but it wasn't an issue at all, so if you have a decent car I wouldn't worry about it. While in our particular case, we didn't have the best weather throughout the stay, we appreciated that the lodge is furnished so as to feel like home, which made for a cozy day in. I could tell that there was a lot of thought put into the furnishing and decorating of the lodge!"
