"This house offered just the right amount of space for me and my two primary school-aged sons—each of us enjoyed our own room, complete with a king-size bed (yes, even the boys lived large). The living area downstairs was bright and generously sized, perfect for a bit of wrestling or quiet reading—depending on the hour. The host? Absolutely excellent. We were welcomed with fresh farm eggs and a presence so discreet that they could give even the most modest Estonian a run for their money. Almost invisible, yet everything worked like clockwork—a rare and admirable talent. In short: a brilliant shell nestled in the beauty of the Latvian countryside. Highly recommended."

"The only downside? The horseflies on a hot day — thankfully, they respected the house more than we did and stayed outside."

"Very friendly host. There was a sweet letter and a box of eggs from their chicken to welcome us. House was small but compact and there was everything we needed. Adorable and friendly cat Ringo, kids loved him. Sauna was really nice, with mild heat- my man is a sauna fanatic and he absolutely loved it. Swimming in pond after sauna- perfect! Host was answering really quickly and we felt like home. Only good vibes!"

"This was a warm and cosy house with beautiful natural scenery surrounded. The host was really friendly and helpful. Everything was perfect especially the traditional Latvian sauna. We enjoyed our stay so much."

"Cute and cosy cottage with comfortable beds and linen, clean bathroom, well equipped kitchen and even a sauna to use. Loved the personalised welcome sign at the front and the fresh eggs tasted delicious for breakfast!"

"Bijām atpūtā kopā ar draudzeni un mūsu bērniem. Ļoti piemērota vieta tieši atpūtai ar bērniem - droša vide, namiņā bija daudz rotaļļietu, bērni bija visu laiku ar kaut ko aizņemti. Namiņā bija ļoti silti, mūs sagaidīja arī pārsteigums no saimniekiem - vistu olas no viņu pašu saimniecības. Tas tiešām bija ļoti jauki. Namiņā ir arī pirtiņa, droši var izmantot šo ekstru un nebūs jāuztraucas, ka bērni vieni paši paliek namiņā. Namiņā bija viss nepieciešamais komfortai palikšanai. Apkārt miers, klusums, tumšajā laikā var vērot pasakaini skaistas debesis, un mums pat noveicās caur telefona kameru uzķert Auroru. Noteikti iesaku šo naktsmītni."

"Ļoti skaista vietā pašā ezera krastā ar fantastisku skatu. Māja bija sakopta, tīra, nevienas mušas vai oda, atradām visu nepieciešamo virtuvē un kopumā. Televīzija, mikroviļņu krāsns, laba vannas istaba. Dārzā ir lapene un mazs bērnu rotaļu laukumiņš ar šūpolēm un slidkalniņu. Ļoti labs kontakts ar īpašnieci."

"Great place! We arrived late Friday evening, it was so dark that we even couldn`t see the river Daugava, only hear the waves. In the morning when we opened our eyes and curtains - wow, here it was so close to the cottage! First night was fabulous as we enjoyed the silence being alone in the whole Lapsu ciems :) The cottage is clean, nice, cozy, there is a fireplace which suits Autumn evenings so much. The terrace with the view on Daugava is amazing, we enjoyed also barbeque. All you could wish for a weekend stay. Other three cottages are quite close but people do not bother each other. Hope to enjoy also in summer with boat rides and swimming."

"Having stayed in various apartments across Riga, I have to say that this apartment was THE BEST! Everything was perfect!! Location was close to Centre (about 15-20minutes on tram), there’s a small grocery store across the street and also a Lidl nearby, close to shopping Centre. Apartment was spacious, easy to navigate. All facilities were extremely helpful and useful, with cooking equipment and necessities available too (spices, oil, sugar etc.). The host Jeļena was extremely helpful and made sure our stay was as comfortable as possible, even checking up making sure everything is going well with our stay. If you’re driving, parking is simple with the Mobilly app, bound to be a space available within the territory , at 6.50€ for 24hours. Definitely will stay again at this property :)"
