Besides everything, he is an excellent yoga teacher :-). Location; it is close to Kandy city center, but since it is at a bit higher altitude, there is no pollution (light, noise or air). Facility; it is carefully planned and built mansion. Every detail is sophisticated. The garden is full of spectacular birds. It was definitely our best place we stayed in Sri Lanka."

"Everything went above and beyond our expectations. The staff were incredibly kind and helpful beyond our imagination. The space itself is heavenly, with the Matta room having some of the best views I could ask for. The breakfasts were very cute with mango Alfonso that I will dream about forever! The yoga classes were such a beautiful way to start the day. Very beginner friendly and if you’re looking for a getaway, I would recommend. Genuinely every review tells the same story and there’s a reason. It’s truly a gem and I couldn’t recommend more."

"Nice staff, beautiful house and great yoga sessions. It's a bit outside of kandy so it's perfect to get a bit of quiet and animal sounds away from the REALLY busy city. We enjoyed it a lot, plus everyone is super helpful with anything!"

"This was a totally unique stay and one of our favourites in Sri Lanka. The building and gardens are really beautiful, thoughtfully designed built into the hill with greenery everywhere. The yoga and meditation each morning were a huge highlight and focus of Sunatha Suwaya. We stayed for 6 nights and it felt like a little retreat. The management and staff are wonderful, they have created a lovely warm atmosphere. Breakfasts were tasty and plentiful. In addition to our comfortable room we made use of the communal space with its beautiful views for remote working. The place is tucked away up a steep hill outside the busyness of Kandy but it was easy to order tuctucs via the Pickme app to take us to the Temple of the Tooth one day and to walk stage 1 of the Pekoe Trail (highly recommended) on another. We also relied on Pickme for food delivery in the evenings. There's a supermarket within walking distance too."
