"After a half-hour walk from the Spanish border (easy, flat but construction diversion - Feb 2026), I found number 12 not far from Casemates Square. Door code is provided on day of arrival. Up one flight to my room #2. Didn’t see the host, but messaging was prompt. Small studio, with table and two stools; kettle, toaster, microwave, sink and small fridge; comfortable bed; small shower room. Windows have shutters and good drapes and face the building opposite. Good-quality windows shut out street sounds. Everything works well, and the ceiling fan and lighting are good. TV has satellite channels, many English-language. I appreciated the historical information in the welcome binder. I did not see a clothes-drying rack, which is on the amenity list."
