"Fantastic location, near the center of Ruffec, with a beautiful large garden and half a forest at your disposal. Secure parking on the property. From Ruffec, you can take lovely trips through the Charente, visiting all those lovely villages or taking day trips to the coast or cities like Angouleme or Cognac. Anna & Ian are an incredibly hospitable couple, with whom I immediately connected (which is very nice as a woman traveling alone). The gite is beautifully decorated, clean, and had everything I could wish for; it really made me feel at home."

Great location for a very good cafe in the village Le Bistrot where we had an excellent excellent breakfast every morning. Stephan the café owner could not have been more helpful.Adrien at the Chateaux showed us his classic car collection and when we asked fie wine glasses and more coffee capsules he was happy to provide. A great and quiet location near our friends too."
