"The owner was not well when we visited but her brother did an excellent job of looking after us and made a great breakfast, as well as giving us good tips on what to visit. The house was very beautiful and comfortable and close to a site that we wanted to visit, as well as calling a local restaurant to book us a table."

"Maison Rouge is an absolute gem - spacious clean rooms with lovely views of the massif, a beautiful back deck on which to spend an evening, and a lovely communal indoor space for when it became a little too chilly for the deck. Our hosts were simply amazing - so gracious and welcoming. Sylvie was lovely and serves a simple but delicious breakfast of fresh bread, fruits and yogurt with nice strong coffee and tea. Johann was also so friendly and a wonderful conversationalist. Both speak perfect English and make your stay so comfortable. There's a little fridge where we stored the amazing cheese we bought which we then enjoyed on the deck watching an amazing moonrise. It is wonderful to walk the woods and up to Mary Magadalene's grotto from this location. Relaxing and rejuvenating!"

"Das Frühstück war sparlich, aber ausreichend und von sehr guter Qualität. Die Zimmer sind sehr spartan, aber groß, luftig und angenehm. Die Gegend ist sehr schön und sehr ruhig. Wir sind spät Abendessen gegangen und ein Restaurant hat uns trotz geschlossener Küche aufgenommen und ein sehr leckeres Essen serviert."
