"This place is a hidden gem, on a beautiful farm just outside of corozal. Very quiet and peaceful. The hosts were incredible, very friendly always making sure we had everything we needed! Will definitely stay again on our future travels 😀"

"The host was very friendly and made tons of arrangements for us. He picked us up from the train station, drove us to the grand canyon, and also drove us to the caves. He made a delicious Chinese breakfast that was included and we also paid extra to eat dinner there as well. The hotel is nice and quiet and pretty close to the Grand Canyon - though you will probably still need to drive there."

The room was a little cold in the winter.

"Accommodations are very comfortable, clean and neat. Staff are super friendly. The walking trails are unbelievable with exceptional bird life and fascinating trees. The location just on the outskirts of town makes obtaining provisions a breeze."

"We had an awesome stay at the accomodation. The host was exceptional, he showed us around the whole location and we were invited to try the best coffee for free. Also he knows English very well. The terrasse has an amazing view and the food was very delicious. Thank you for everything, we will definitely come back!"

"Great location, spacious flat with big bed. Location is great, we could walk to different locations and short drive to Santa Elena and Cloud Forest."

Unfortunately two scorpions got into the flat and we were not sure how. Fridge leaked water. Other than this the flat is really good.

"Such a beautiful place! Perfect to relax the spirit. We enjoyed our stay amidst the beautiful palm trees, at night the sky is like a blanket of stars. The food was excellent, real Egyptian. Higly recommend doing tours with Ahmed: he has a passion for his region and is very understanding of guests needs."

Christine is an great host. She takes such loving care of her guests and is always attentive and genuinely committed to making everyone feel welcome and comfortable. "Beautiful house set in the middle of nature. We booked a larger room to have some more space and it was very big with a huge terrace which we loved. The farm itself was full of different fruit trees and plants and Santhosh was kind to show us around and explain what was what. He also organised a tuktuk tour in the forest for half a day which we really enjoyed. He let us know about a local festival happening in a town nearby and even drove us back after. Breakfast was great, and so was dinner which we asked for on the last evening. We booked this place to experience the peace and nature in Kerala and this is exactly what we got, would 100% reccommend!"

The shower in our bathroom didn't have hot water connected, so in order to use the hot water, we needed to use a bucket and a jug to shower. Pillow cases were not very soft.

"If you’re feeling tired from work or from life, this is the place you should come to. I highly recommend staying for at least 10 days. I stayed for 40 days, and during that time, my body and soul were healed — I feel truly happy now. My days at Petit Martel felt like being in paradise."
