"A lovely family run, low key, laid back property. Quick to respond to questions online. Best room is the twin with the double hammocks on the first floor, you get a nice breeze going through and the hammocks are a bonus if there is a torrential downpour. Ground floor can be noisy as wooden floors. Newly built bar next door."
"No hot water. Have to order breakfast in advance if you want it - same across the island, make sure you order breakfast, lunch or dinner in advance due to various shortages."
"The staff came to greet us at the port, ready to help with our bags and to show us the way to El Pajas. It was great for us that Karen spoke English as it definitely made things easier. The room we stayed in was massive. It was also really lovely that the staff gave us some watermelon to enjoy when Santos from CECFLOR (the official Isabela Tourist contact) came over to meet us (having been instrumental in getting us ferry times and info prior to arrival) - Karen can provide you with Santos's contact details."

"Karen, our quest house host met us at the ferry docks upon arrival. She proceeded to give us a small tour of town and showed us the quest house location. That was really appreciated given there is no cell service on the island. The accommodation was clean and with air conditioning. The hosts were always helpful!"

"The lovely girl from the hotel was waiting for us at the boat she looked after us for our stay booked our lunch and delivered us breakfast to our balcony."

"Instead of a day trip to Floreanna, plan to stay two nights (as the ferry isn't daily). The island only has about 110 residents, and they all live in one town, so it is a quiet, off-the-beaten-track place. El Pajas is typically quirky and slightly ramshackle, a collection of buildings with an adjoining open-air bar and a small garden with a hammock. The room was surprisingly clean and large with all that was necessary. The team (especially Karen) running the hotel was exceptional in terms of friendliness, helpfulness, and assistance. They arranged local trips for us and even met us at the quayside when we arrived, which surprised us. Everything about this small hotel was relaxed, casual and contributed towards a fantastic visit to this unique island"
