"Great welcome, the owner Pao was very attentive to my needs, brought me to breakfast in town every morning, his wife cooking me food for lunch and/or supper. I was by myself but didn’t feel alone having the family around, and Pao included me in his evenings with his friends. I had my own room with mattress on the ground firm but I find comfortable with a mosquito net. Shared bathroom but very clean toilet. Shower with the bucket with cold water - but invigorating and makes the experience authentic ! Nice setting with greenery. Hammocks to relax."

No WiFi available unfortunately, but I had my own SIM card with lots of gigabytes so it didn’t bother me to use my 5G. Roosters singing in the evening or early in the morning - but you get used to it / or put earplugs and it’s fine! Again it makes you feel in the countryside so it’s part of the experience!

Imaginávamos poder caminhar na propriedade, mas nao encontramos trilhas e o pátio, coberto de britas nao ajudou.

"The staff were friendly and welcoming. The food at the restaurant was lovely. The breakfast that you get in the morning was tasty and a large portion. 2 cute little dogs running around on the farm. Cows grazing outside your door."

For summer months, a fan would be ideal in the room.

When making the booking for 2 or 3 bedroom, booking.com must state that the other room in the mansion are also simulataneously for rent with strangers. This can be an unexpected suprise for those who wants to spend family time specially since the kitchen and living room are to be shared.

The shelf above the bed head is rather low and it is very easy to bump into it. The duvet is rather short for an adult.

Some more kitchenware would’ve been nice. Not much soundproofed but it was silent in the evening in the house; Only some youths outside parading their tuned cars up and down the road.

The owner's agony on low power consumption is obvious. 1) the fuse controling TV & AirConditioner was off - had to do a bit of troubleshooting in order to get the TV operational 2) lighting in the room extremely low 3) stove required ~45 minutes to prepare one cup of coffee. The road to get to the property is suitable for one way traffic. If you crossed with another vehicle one of the two would have to reverse. Pet friendliness was limited to the owner's pets and was not extended to the guests' pets. The owner resented the fact that I traveled with my pet noticing that I should have informed up-front.
