"Excellent location, just a short walk from Lonnoc Beach and a 15 minute walk from the famous Champagne Beach; 20 minute ride to Port Olry. There is a small village (Hog Harbour Village) nearby, about a 20 minute walk, where you can buy local bread and fruit. Accommodation is very basic but serves its purpose. Mosquito coils and nets are provided. The local who looked after us, Melody, was very welcoming and kind, and made us delicious breakfasts and dinners. There were no kayaks available but they can be rented from the neighbouring Lonnoc Beach Bungalows."

Drainage in the shower is poor and the floor quickly becomes wet and muddy. Facilities are very worn out. The room has no shelving to put your belongings; this would be a great improvement. If you are on a budget, keep in mind that pretty much the only food options in the area are the restaurants at the lodge or at neighbouring accommodations, where a meal costs 1500-2000 vatu per person. The food is delicious though and there are local dishes - the paw paw curry was phenomenal.

1. Не работал телевизор ( обещали заменить у след постояльцам) 2. Пляж не пригоден для купания. Практически всегда отлив. 3. Для проживания в вилле нужно авто.

"Check in was easy. The location is good. There are many beds and plenty of space. The fireplace and sauna are very nice after a full day of skiing. 2 minutes walking from a skiing slopes."

"The beds are extremely comfortable, the check in super easy, the cottage is super cozy, warm and has everything you need for cooking. The location is great, in a secluded spot, absolutely peaceful. We love the dogs, it was a bonus be able to pet and play with them."

Due to my carelessness, I thought the Smyrr cottage had a shower (the photos only show a sink and toilet, but I assumed the shower just wasn't in the photo), so if you're staying longer, you might want to take that into consideration.

"Die Unterkunft war sehr gut gelegen und erreichbar. Parkmöglichkeiten waren ebenfalls in direkter Nähe. Die Ferienwohnung war gut ausgestattet und haben uns sehr willkommen und wohlgefühlt 🙂. Wir würden jederzeit wieder kommen 🥰🥰🥰"

Das einzige was es zu bemängeln gab, das keine Handtücher vorhanden waren. Es gab kein Hinweis das diese nicht mit inbegriffen ist bzw diese gegen Aufpreis erhältlich sind. Leider war es auch etwas staubig und einiges an vorhandene Geschirr sehr klebrig. Dafür gibt's es aber Hände was somit schnell behoben werden könnte. Das ist aber Kritisieren auf hohem Niveau......Wie gesagt es sind wirklich nur Kleinigkeiten. Dennoch würde diese Unterkunft jeden empfehlen.👍🙂

"A wonderful , basic cabin located in the arguably the best location on the island . Surrounded by acres of exotic fruit and native forest beyond. Birdlife is prolific. This is a place to stay for birdwatching with flocks of African grey parrots, kingfishers, egrets .. and so much more to see.. Excellent value meals can be brought to your table daily. Freshly caught fish, local grown fruit and rice. No need to cook . It's good quality and great value. Bring cash for guides and daily, national park entry fees . The beach is amazing ... REALLY"

Ensure you have bought a local sim-card, loaded with data before arriving. Wifi may not work. Also, before arriving, stop at a supermarket and buy sufficient drinking water for your stay. ( 2 litres per person per day minimum ). Bring mosquito spray for your jungle walks and be prepared to rough it .

"The view was really good with the little terrace in front of the room, I like to have a view. AC was powerful. It was also very very quiet. No noise except the roosters."

Others need to be mindful it's down a steep hill from the main street then up a steep unlit track - bring a flashlight not just phone light. Tricycles pick up at the bottom of the hill.

"Lovely atmosphere and had all the facilities we needed. It was dark when we arrived making it a bit difficult to find however we managed to contact the manager and were guided to the property. There was no restaurant or cafe within walking distance but the young man who welcomed us went out of his way to go and get dinner and bring it back for us. A peaceful and comfortable stay. I would recommend this place."

There was no signpost on the main road to give directions. Not so bad during the day but necessary at night.

"במתחם שיושב על צלע הר יש 5 בתים. 2 משפחתיים ו3 לזוג. כל בית פונה לכיוון אחר כך שיש פרטיות. קיבלנו בית משפחתי ל 4. שקט מסביב ונוף מדהים לאוקיינוס עם שקיעות יפות. מיטות נוחות. כל יום קיבלנו מגבות נקיות. ארוחת בוקר טובה מובאת לחדר. לחמניות טריות ומאפים מיוחדים בכל ארוחה משהו חדש. בחדר יש מכונת קפה וקומקום לתה. תא מקלחת מרווח."

לא ניקו לנו את הרצפה בבית כל זמן השהות עד שביום הרביעי לאחר שציינו זאת, ניקו למחרת. באחד הימים כאשר חזרנו לחדר בערב גילינו שחדר מקלחת לא נוקה. לא הביאו נייר טואלט. לאחר לפנינו לבעל המקום הגיעה אחראית והביאה את מה שחסר. זרם מים חלש במקלחת, אבל יכול להיות זאת בעיה באיים, כי היה לנו את זה גם בבתי מלון אחרים קודם.

"The Nepali men at work were exceptionally friendly and helpful. They were the best, really. The room was fine, excellent bed, but perhaps, overall, a bit overpriced. It is also very close to Zest, the best restaurant in Agonda. המקום מומלץ מאד בגלל הצוות הנפאלי המעולה שלו. יש נפאלים גם במקומות אחרים אבל כאן יש צוות מלא רצון טוב שלא מוצאים כל יום. המקום עצמו רגיל מבחינת החדר אבל המינ' ישנו: מיים חמים, נקיון 10, ומיטה נוחה מאד. ככ', המקום קרוב למסעדת זסט ששווה כל רופי שתוציאו שם."

The restaurant has 4 cooks, on the first day we had a wonderful breakfast. On other days, that cook was obviously absent as what we got was not more than OK.

"The cottages are nicely located, with enough space between them for privacy and nearby the river. The hotel restaurant was very nice and convenient, as well as the bread service in the mornings. And the beds were good."

The bathroom was extremely tiny. Literally showering above the toilet, smaller than boat cabin bathrooms! Quite weird for the given space in the cottage. Also the cooking facilities were fairly cramped, you cab only fit 2 small pans if you're lucky. However, it worked out well enough for us. Lastly, there are a lot of playground facilities for the kids, which sounded nice, but they were also located right in front of (most of) the cottages, which can make it quite noisy (depending on which children are playing there).
