The new Welschen Hotel, opening in March 2025, is located on a south-facing slope. There is a fantastic view of the Matterhorn from most areas of the hotel. The hotel is just a 2-minute walk from the Sunnegga Express station. The main train station and the village centre are a 7-minute walk away. Breakfast is included in the room rate. The pool and wellness area as well as the fitness room are open to guests.

"Everything was perfect. The hotel is brand new, everything is modern & furnished exceptionally well. Breakfast buffet is delicious. Dinner menu is high class. The views from the restaurant, rooms & pool are breathtaking - with the mighty Matterhorn in full view. Easy access to the Sunnegga lift & ski hire right out the door. Walk to the centre of town within minutes. Staff were very helpful and friendly. We can’t wait to come back."

"The location was perfect for skiing. Just a few steps to the Sunnegga lift, but also still close to all the bars and restaurants in the town. Room was gorgeous and the views were unbelievable. Loved waking up each morning and having breakfast with an uninterrupted view of the materhorn. Can't find any fault with the food, the staff, and the sauna and pool facilities. Also had what is easily the best aperol spritz of my life."

"I loved everything, the only minor things I’d have liked in addition: - To be able to charge my ski pass at reception - 4 pm/ post ski cake hour (I always love that elsewhere :) - Massages in the spa These are personal things and want to also state I have this 10/10 exceptional! I’ll be staying again for sure"

"The hotel facilities are great. There’s a dedicated storage area for ski equipment on the ground floor. You can take the elevator down and access the cable car directly from the hotel. The hotel restaurant is also delicious!"

"The breakfast was delicious. They made wonderful omelets and had a great spread of cheese and ham to choose from. As well fruits and yogurts for a lighter breakfast. Best breakfast of our holiday!"

"We loved our stay at the Welschen Hotel. It’s in a fantastic location, the staff are lovely and helpful, the view from our balcony was incredible. We also loved the indoor heated pool with its views. Our room was beautiful too, as was the breakfast. We didn’t want to leave."
