"Due to maintenance activity in Villa Toscane, we were given room in the hotel Royal plaza to this property. My feedback is for Royal plaza and not for Villa Toscana. Royal plaza is an amazing hotel, nicely maintained, close to the lake with amazing views."

"This was my second stay at this hotel, and once again I really appreciated the experience. I didn’t mind that the spa is located in a hotel across the street — it’s only a two-minute walk. The spa at the Royal Plaza Hotel is very enjoyable, especially their sauna, steam room, and pool. The room was absolutely fine, and I really appreciated having an electric kettle to make tea in the evening. A big plus is that a city transport card is included, which allows free use of nearby buses. The train station can be reached in about four minutes by bus or around twelve minutes on foot. The room was very comfortable and warm, even though the weather outside was quite cold. A very good hotel with a great spa experience, comfortable rooms, and excellent transport connections. I would happily stay here again, especially outside peak holiday periods."

"The breakfast is very small and basic. While the view of the lake is absolutely stunning, the breakfast itself is quite limited unless you pay extra. It’s fine if you’re in a rush, as I was, but not ideal if you’re looking for variety. During the holiday period, the spa (swimming pool+jacuzzi) was quite crowded, especially with children. However, in the mornings it was calm and peaceful. During my previous weekday stay, it was much quieter and more relaxing."

"Was a nice hotel with the use of the facilities of the more luxurious hotel over the road. We stayed for the Christmas markets so we left our luggage and strolled down the esplanade to the stalls."

"To check in and out we had to go over to the hotel over the road. A bit of extra lugging around of suitcases but not a big deal."

In the middle of everything.. 1)Halal food and market is within walking distance.. 2) the hotel gave us free transportation excess @monterux riveria card 3) bus station is only in front of the hotel 4) the staff was so helpful.. we arrived early so our room is not ready yet so the staff took care all our 8 luggages+all our hand carry bags 5) Christmas market was just opposite of the hotels 6) our family room is so huge! I love it"

"Food is rubbish. Didn't eat in the big main restaurant which to be fair did sound really nice but it's set taster menus that are no good for kids so as a family we were limited to the bar, which was absolutely rubbish menu. Also no room service after 10pm which is pants for late arriving travellers as all the shops shut at 10pm as well so if you are arriving late beware you will be hungry until tomorrow!"
