"What a beautiful spot, it felt like staying at your grandparents. The room was a great size with little balcony to enjoy a wine. Easy to walk to everything in the old town and they offered the garage to park the car. The hosts are so lovely making a huge breakfast and giving us a to go bag when we left early. We felt at home"

"The owners are very nice though they dont understand english. The rooms are clean. The property is close to the bazar and places of interest. They have a parking garage. The breakfast was very good and generous"

"It is hard to get there by car. The garage for parking is small and tight.There are steep stairs to the property and inside. Girikastra is beautiful but hard for older people ..."

"The B&B was very modern and clean, in a great location, and very good value. The parking is challenging but worth the effort. What makes this accommodation lovely is the couple that look after it. The welcome we received was great, and nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was so big other guests 'warned'us about it! and they were right as we could not finish all the lovely homemade food, but it was packed up for us to enjoy later. The room was smaller than we expected and the terrace mentioned in the room description is the one at the front of the property but neither of these matters made our stay less enjoyable."

"Loved everything about Villa Em. The location was excellent with attractions within walking distance. The couple who ran the place were helpful and friendly even though they didn’t speak English. We drove and the streets getting there were narrow but the owner helped to navigate the car into his garage. The breakfast was plentiful and typically Albanian."

"The rooms are stylish and comfortable, and the breakfasts are delicious and satisfying. Parking can be a bit challenging for those unfamiliar with old town areas, as the streets are narrow and hilly. The hosts were extremely helpful, providing clear directions on how to reach the property (definitely follow them if you book 😉) and even helped us find parking after checkout. The apartment is perfectly located in the historic center of Gjirokastra, close to all the main attractions."

"A fantastic B&B run by a fantastic couple. On the morning of our arrival we received a WhatsApp message with a map telling us how to get to Villa EM (i.e. drive up Astrit Toto only - DO NOT use Varosh or Nabahete Bakiri!) and a list of the top 10 things to do in Gjirokastër. The couple are so friendly and welcoming. The rooms and house are very modern and all the facilities are high quality. It is very close to the bazaar, museums, restaurants and the castle but be prepared to walk up a few steep streets as the city is on the side of a hill. That only adds to its beauty. Breakfast is delicious and substantial. We would definitely highly recommend Villa EM."
